The Mercy golf team completed the 2018 season with a 14-0 record. It was runner up in the SCC tournament. The team was led in scoring by Praewa Treekul and Meghan DeVille. It finished 7th in the state tournament. All league first team for Mercy included Praewa Treekul, Meghan DeVille and Caroline Thompson. Preawa Treekul was All State first team, Hartford Courant Player of the year and Player of the year in The SCC for the second year in a row and the Coach Golanski was was SCC Coach of the year for the second year in a row. It was a great year. Coaches Peter Golanski and Assistant Steven Laden have enjoyed the the years with the Mercy golfers. Coach Golanski coached 30 years the last 24 as head coach and Coach Laden coached 24 years as assistant. Good luck to next years new coach and players. Coach Laden and I will be found on the golf course enjoying the game. Hit them straight.

Practice starts on Tuesday April 3 at Lyman's. Practice will run from 3:30pm to 5:30 pm.  
Practice Monday through Thursday. Weather and course conditions will determine when we can have practice and matches. There will be a bus to bring the girls to practice each day. Monday and Wednesday practice will be up top near the club house and Tuesday and Thursday  it will be at the golf learning center down the bottom on Lyman's. Listen to announcements foe any changes to practice due to the weather and the availability of the course. An announcement will be made in school also if there are any changes.

Mercy golf tryouts will start on Tuesday Mar. 27 at Lyman's golf course. Bring your clubs. A bus will be available for the girls to get a ride to the course. Listen to Mr. Khos announcements for the bus. Tryouts will up top at the club house.

MERCY GOLF 2017

The Mercy golf team completed the 2017 season with a 18 - 0 record. The team won the first SCC girls golf tournament at Racebrook country club in May. Making the all league team were Praewa Treekul, Meghan Deville and Christiana Bevilacqua. Praewa Treekul was named SCC player of the year and coach Peter Golanski was picked ACC coach of the year.  Coach Peter Golanski and assistant coach Steve Laden recorded their 300 win. Preawa Treekul was also named the Hartford Courant area Player of the year in girls golf.  Mercy was ranked third in the state and finished number eight in the state tournament. The team had an excellent season and returning players Praewa Treekul, Meghan Deville, Christiana Bevilacqua, Caroline Thompson and Alison Chase will lead the team next season. Mercy team members remember to pratice this summer to improve for the 2018.
The coaches are looking forward to next season for Mercy to improve and play excellent golf in 2018.

The Mercy golf team finished the 2016 season with a 13-1 record. The season championship was won. In the league tournament played at Hawks Landing G.C. Mercy won the title.  Medalist was Mercy's Preawa Treekul with a score of 71. All league selections for Mercy were: Preawa Treekul and Megan DeVille all league first team.  Alyssa Scandura and Christiana Bevilacqua were second team.  Betty Smith was honorable mention.  The team qualified for the state tournament in June. They were ranked number 8 out of 55 teams in the state. The team finished 16th in the tournament.
It was a great season.  Coach Laden and I are looking forward to 2017 to continue this success. All returning members are expected to play this summer to improve their games. Compition will be intense for the 5 top playing positions.  Have a great summer girls and PRACTICE.
